You are required to buy a graphing calculator. You have a couple of options for this:
1) If you have a smart phone or tablet, you can download some great apps that will have these features. A few examples: Free Graphing Calculator, Graphing Calculator HD, and others. These must be approved by me, so if this is what you are going to use, download it, and bring it to me for approval. 2) If you don't have a smartphone, you need to buy a Texas Instruments graphing calculator. I would recommend a Ti-89, a Ti-84, or a Ti-83 if you want to use something else, it has to be approved by me. These are available at Office Equipment Company in the Atrium in Havre, MT. If buying one of these is a problem, please come see me privately. |
Who is your professor? Brett Runnion
Are you a math genius? Could you calculate the launch of a rocket using only a slide rule? Don't know what a slide rule is? Chances are if you answered "No, No, & No I don't" then you should probably enroll in a study group with your fellow students. Don't wait until you've failed a test to join a group, or it will be that much more difficult to help you! We will work to set up study groups in class, but feel free to set up your own.
Why would I go? -To test yourself -To help others -To better prepare for calculus and beyond |
